"The Gift of Warmth"

Our Cause:

We collect donated coats and other warm clothing so that families in the Culver school district who need a little help don't have to send their children to school cold.  We also pay for winter home heating for some of these families.

How You Can Help:

All day on Saturday, September 5th, people can drop off spare coats, boots, hats, gloves, and such at the Uptown Cinema or Culver Town Park.  If folks can spare a little cash, we have a voluntary jar for that, too.  Last year we collected hundreds of pounds of clothing.  The coats were distributed at the school and were gone in a matter of weeks!

2nd Annual Lake Maxinkuckee Film Festival!

September 5th 2009

The Festival:

We show movies at the Uptown Cinema starting at 10 a.m. and continuing throughout the day on September 5th.  We end with a fantastic Saturday night family picnic in the park starting at 6 p.m.

• Three Hours of Music by Local Groups
  

• A Film on a Giant Outdoor Screen as soon as the sun goes down.
  

Price:  FREE for any family who donates an item of clothing or makes a voluntary contribution of any amount!
